I might whinge about my home town a bit (a lot really), but there is a pub called Whittles which holds a jam session 5-8pm Sundays. Pro and semi pro musicians play, yet the highlight is when Alex turns up. He's about 13 or 14. He started doing heavy rock guitar a couple of years ago -Black Sabbath, Metallica and that stuff. He's taught himself how to sing and plays Stevie Ray Vaughn, Hendrix, ZZ Top etc; and also plays more obscure blues to develop his own style.
Snori, I think you're in Manchester, and although the prospect of visiting Oldham is less preferable than toothache, I really recommend Sunday in Whittles. If any of the other Brits have friends in the area tell them it's really worth a visit.

I have seen this before.

Funny thing is I was living in Bucks County at the time and never met any of these fine folks, I might have stayed.
